Skeleton Tools

About This Product

Skeleton Tools is an Autodesk Inventor add-in for skeleton modelling. You model the whole product as solid bodies in one part — the skeleton — and Skeleton Tools turns those bodies into an assembly of derived parts. Because every part is derived, the skeleton stays the single source of truth: change a body and the part it produced changes with it, with nothing to re-run. What a skeleton was built with — the numbering, the paths, the per-body recipes and the build history — is recorded on the skeleton part itself, so reopening Make Parts shows exactly what you last built instead of a set of defaults. Re-running adds new parts only, bodies are tracked by a stamped id rather than by name, and one skeleton can feed several assemblies with its own paths and numbering per build. Plates are recognised for you: a body that reads as sheet metal, with its thickness carried by one of the skeleton's parameters, arrives already ticked with that parameter chosen. Skeleton parameters can be pulled through into each derived part, optionally renamed and exposed as iProperties. Find Duplicate Bodies groups the bodies by identical geometry and highlights each group in the model, calling out mirrored pairs.
